The winner of the Miss Universe Fiji pageant will head to Mexico City to compete in the Miss Universe international final on December 24.
Grant Dwyer, marketing, events, and sponsorship director for Miss Universe Fiji, stated that Fiji last participated in the event in 1981, with Lynn Michelle McDonald as the representative.
He noted that Lux Project’s Fiji, an international property development company, has acquired the Miss Universe Fiji license and is excited to bring back this prestigious event.
“The focus is on selecting a positive role model, promoting Fiji as a premier travel destination, showcasing the natural beauty of the country, its pristine environment, fashion, culture, and the friendliest people Fiji is known for. Additionally, we aim to raise awareness for positive causes and support charities,” Dwyer said.
Miss Universe Fiji and its organizers are seeking partnerships with Fiji’s leading organizations, brands, and experiences.
“This will enhance public relations and lead to positive outcomes, nurturing links with Australia, Asia, India, New Zealand, the USA, and our South Pacific neighbors,” he added.
Miss Universe Fiji has teamed up with the Pearl Resort & Spa Fiji in Pacific Harbor, which will host the 2024 Miss Universe Fiji national final on August 30.
The top 10 national finalists will arrive on August 28 to take part in several competitions.
The esteemed judges include Paris Gade, Miss Universe Fiji national director; Grant Dwyer, Miss Universe Fiji marketing, events, and sponsorship director; Natalie Marletta, general manager of Pearl Resort & Spa Fiji; Riri Febriani of Lux Projects Fiji; Raj Suri, a Bollywood actor and talent mentor; Jennifer Chan, a TV host and style and beauty expert from the USA; and Melissa Walter, South Pacific director for Seakeepers.org.
