The seven contestants competing for the Miss Pacific Islands 2026 crown have officially assembled for the much-anticipated weeklong event, which kicks off this Wednesday in Nadi.
In their first official appearance, the contestants attended a dedication church service at the Platinum Events Centre, where Miss Fiji, Ailava Samuels, offered words of wisdom to her fellow competitors. “My advice is to always trust in God’s plans in every situation that we go through,” she stated, emphasizing the importance of faith and resilience. “Because at the end of the tunnel, there is always light.”
The contestants represent a diverse range of cultures and nations, including Miss Kiribati Atiterentaai Rinimarawa, Miss Samoa Feagaimaali’i Soti Mapu, Miss Cook Islands Petra Mataiti, Miss Tonga Siosi’ana Taumoepeau, Miss American Samoa Tofoi Unutoa, and Miss Papua New Guinea Iampela Popena.
Their gathering not only highlights the spirit of unity among nations but also provides a platform for cultural exchange. As the event unfolds, it promises to showcase the beauty, talent, and unique cultural backgrounds of each contestant, while also fostering positive relationships among the islands of the Pacific. The message of hope conveyed by Miss Fiji is a reminder that, despite the challenges they may face, the contestants are united in purpose and faith as they embark on this journey.
