Miss Hibiscus 2024: Rowena Acraman’s Inspiring Journey to Impact Change

Rowena Acraman, a 22-year-old, is vying for the title of Miss Hibiscus 2024. She has been designated by the Suva City Council to represent Apco Coatings.

Acraman is dedicated to working with nonprofit organizations tackling critical issues such as climate change and human rights advocacy. The Suva City Council notes that her commitment to these causes reflects her ambition to create a positive impact in the world.

She completed her education at St. Anne’s Primary School and continued her studies at Jai Narayan College. Currently, she is pursuing her degree at the University of the South Pacific.

Acraman excels in various languages, driven by her passion for education and cultural exchange. With a background in journalism, she is fluent in Hindi, English, and Japanese.

Beyond her education, Acraman is also an enthusiastic musician, artist, and singer. She plays both the guitar and ukulele, demonstrating her deep appreciation for creativity and artistic expression, which is further illustrated by her self-taught skills in the Japanese language.

The Hibiscus Festival will take place at the Suva Civic Center and Civic Foreshore from August 31 to September 7.
