Melania Tora, crowned Miss Hibiscus, was honored with a traditional welcome ceremony in her village of Sabeto, Nadi, on Saturday. The residents of Sabeto, known as the Vanua o Betoraurau, celebrated her victory, highlighting the pride she brought to her village, Nadi, and to Fiji on an international stage, according to clan leader Kiniviliame Mokotanavanua.

Ms. Tora, who received sponsorship from Tents and Awnings, was crowned a fortnight ago. During the celebrations, she emphasized her commitment to representing her roots with pride and expressed gratitude for the support she received from her village.
She remarked, “It was through your support, your guidance and your prayers that I was able to achieve the Miss Hibiscus crown. Thank you.”
