After an exciting four-day event filled with glamour, Dr. Peggy Ravusiro emerged as the winner of Miss Fiji 2025 on Saturday night. Hailing from a unique family background, with ties to Papua New Guinea through her father and Kadavu through her mother, Dr. Ravusiro’s advocacy is deeply influenced by her upbringing.
In her acceptance speech, she highlighted the importance of resilience, stating, “I don’t come from the typical family dynamic, so I understand the inadequacies one can face in life because of it. Regardless of how your family is set up, we are still able to face circumstances with resilience, and we remain committed to making it work as a nation.”
Throughout the competition, Dr. Ravusiro was also honored with the special award for Best Research Presentation, showcasing her knowledge and dedication.
The pageant saw Miss Nasinu, Ailava Samuela, crowned as the first runner-up, while Miss Suva, Rhyelle Aisea, secured the second runner-up position. Miss Rakiraki, Shrdha Mala, was named the third runner-up, with Miss Nausori, Bernadeta Waqavanua, taking the fourth runner-up title.
Additionally, various special awards highlighted the talents and contributions of the contestants. Rhyelle Aisea from Miss Suva won both the Miss Internet and Best Sarong awards, while Ailava Samuela from Miss Nasinu took home Miss Photogenic and Best Traditional Attire. Miss Nadi’s Lagilagi Alumeci won the Miss Personality title, and Shrdha Mala from Miss Rakiraki impressed the judges to win the Best Talent award.
The Miss Fiji 2025 pageant was not just a celebration of beauty; it brought together contestants from different municipalities across the nation, underlining themes of leadership, cultural pride, and advocacy.
