Ailava Samuels, the first runner-up of Miss Fiji 2025, is set to represent Fiji at the upcoming Miss Pacific Islands Pageant next month in Nadi. This announcement was made during a press conference this morning by the Miss Fiji Secretariat in Suva.

The need for a new representative arose when Peggy Ravusiro, the crowned winner of the National Pageant who represented Labasa, was unable to fulfill her obligations due to complications in contract negotiations with the organization. Ravusiro formally notified the organizers last week that she would not be competing on the regional stage.

In accordance with pageant guidelines, when the winner cannot fulfill her duties, the opportunity is passed on to the first runner-up. With great enthusiasm, Samuels has accepted the role and will commence preparations as Miss Fiji for the prestigious Miss Pacific Islands Pageant.

This development not only reflects the flexibility and resilience of the pageant but also provides Samuels with an excellent platform to showcase her talents and represent her country proudly. The Miss Pacific Islands Pageant is traditionally a celebration of culture and beauty, and Fiji’s participation promises to be a highlight in the upcoming event.
