Five men escaped serious injuries in a truck accident along Queens Road near Emuri in Sigatoka yesterday afternoon.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police Mitieli Divuana, the driver approaching Sigatoka lost control of his truck, which then crossed into the opposite lane. This led to a head-on collision with another truck driven by a 44-year-old man, who was traveling with three passengers.
Both drivers were taken to Lautoka Hospital, where they are currently admitted, while the three passengers were treated and discharged from Sigatoka Hospital later that day.
SSP Divuana noted that investigations are ongoing and expressed relief that there were no fatalities resulting from the accident.
