A collision between two trucks on Queens Road near Emuri in Sigatoka yesterday left five men fortunate to escape with minor injuries.
Senior Superintendent of Police Mitieli Divuana, the Director of Traffic, reported that a driver lost control of his truck while heading towards Sigatoka. The vehicle veered into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on with another truck driven by a 44-year-old man.
The 44-year-old man was accompanied by three passengers. While the passengers received treatment and were later discharged from Sigatoka Hospital, both truck drivers were transported to Lautoka Hospital for further care and are currently admitted.
SSP Divuana noted that investigations are ongoing and emphasized that it is fortunate that no fatalities resulted from the accident.
