The Fiji Seismology Unit has released a bulletin regarding a minor earthquake that occurred this morning near Savusavu. The earthquake was recorded at 11:35 AM, registering a magnitude of 3.5 at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The epicenter was identified about 3 kilometers south-southwest of Natuvu Village, within the bounds of Savusavu Bay in Cakaudrove. Seismology officials have assured the public that there is no immediate threat of a tsunami impacting the Fiji region.

Local residents in the Savusavu Bay area reported feeling light shaking from the tremor, but there have been no reports of damage or injuries. The situation remains monitored closely to ensure community safety.
