The Ministry of Health and Medical Services has officially announced the funeral arrangements for the late Permanent Secretary, Dr. Jemesa Tudravu, and has extended invitations to friends, colleagues, and the public to pay their final respects.
A condolence book will be available starting tomorrow at 10 a.m. in the Dinem House Conference Room on the 3rd floor for those who wish to leave written tributes. In honor of Dr. Tudravu, a memorial church service is scheduled for Wednesday, 31 December 2025, at 2 p.m. at the Vodafone Arena, specifically for the staff of the Ministry of Health.
Following this, a traditional funeral gathering, known as reguregu, will take place on Thursday, 1 January 2026, at Dr. Tudravu’s residence located at Quarters 58, Amy Street, Suva. The funeral service is set for Friday, 2 January 2026, commencing at 9 a.m. at Centenary Methodist Church in Suva, with burial to follow at the Lovonilase Cemetery.
The Ministry emphasized its gratitude for the immense support received, highlighting that Dr. Tudravu’s lifelong dedication to enhancing health services and the wellbeing of the Fijian people will be remembered with deep respect. This period of mourning reflects the profound impact his work has had on the community, and the public’s participation in the funeral arrangements is a testament to his legacy.
