Minister’s 2025 Tour: A Boost for Agricultural Innovation and Teamwork

Assistant Minister for Agriculture and Waterways, Tomasi Tunabuna, recently commenced his 2025 tour by visiting the staff at the Ba office within the Western Division. During this visit, he expressed appreciation for the hard work and commitment displayed by the staff, particularly in their efforts to support stakeholders, especially farmers, despite facing various challenges.

Tunabuna emphasized the critical role of integrity and the need for staff to stay updated with agricultural advancements and technological innovations. He stressed that these elements are essential for helping farmers to enhance their productivity and achieve sustainable practices.

In his address, he also highlighted the significance of teamwork, noting that collaborative efforts would yield benefits not only for the Ba office but for the Ministry as a whole. Senior Agriculture Officer Petero Mausio acknowledged Tunabuna’s visit, referring to it as a morale booster for the team striving to elevate their work standards.

Looking ahead, Tunabuna plans to visit livestock farmers in Ba and Tavua over the next couple of days to gather insights on how the Ministry can provide additional support, continuing to foster a cooperative and innovative approach within the agriculture sector.
