Filimoni Vosarogo, the Minister of Lands and Minerals Resources, took a break from parliamentary responsibilities to participate in the opening of the McDonald’s Inter-District Championship.
At the event, Minister Vosarogo highlighted the significance of government support for sports, which plays a crucial role in developing young talent throughout Fiji.
“I’m truly encouraged. I even had to request leave from the Speaker of the House since parliament has sessions this week, and today is the final day. However, I made the request to be here with you. This demonstrates that your government is genuinely interested in the growth of soccer in our nation,” Vosarogo remarked.
The tournament, showcasing young soccer players from various districts, is being held at Nasinu Muslim Primary School and is scheduled to conclude tomorrow.
