Minister Lynda Tabuya Delights Children with Circus Spectacle

Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection, Lynda Tabuya, provided the children of St. Christopher’s Home, Dilkusha Home, and Pearly Gates Home with an unforgettable afternoon at the Vou Fijian Flying Circus. Joined by their devoted carers, Tabuya, along with 44 children and 20 of her own nieces and nephews, witnessed a dazzling performance by the Vou dance and song troupe.

The event offered a refreshing break from the children’s usual weekend activities, allowing them to experience joy and excitement in a new environment. The delighted children and their carers sang all the way home, reflecting the positive impact and enjoyment they derived from the outing.

Minister Tabuya praised the show, calling it the best homegrown performance to date. “I’ve seen many circus shows worldwide, but this one stood out because of its distinctive Fijian essence. The performers elevated the humor and Bula spirit to another level,” she remarked.

Throughout the event, Minister Tabuya demonstrated her commitment to supporting and uplifting children under State care by actively engaging with them and sharing in their joy. Her presence at the Vou Fijian Flying Circus underscored her dedication to promoting the wellbeing and happiness of all children, particularly those in State protection.
