A minor earthquake was experienced in the Suva–Nausori Corridor this evening, as reported by the Fiji Seismology agency. The quake struck at 6:22:06 PM and registered a magnitude of 3.1 at a depth of 10 kilometers.

According to seismology officials, the epicenter of the quake was located approximately one kilometer southeast of Kasavu Village in Naitasiri. Residents in surrounding areas experienced light shaking, which is typical for events classified as felt. Fortunately, following initial assessments, there have been no reports of damage resulting from the tremor.

This event highlights the seismic activity in the region, but reassuringly, it appears that the earthquake did not pose a significant threat to communities in the vicinity.
