Michael Jennings, a seasoned player from the Sydney Roosters, is set to join the Vodafone Fiji Bati for the upcoming 2024 Pacific Championship. The 36-year-old centre previously played for Tonga in the last Rugby League World Cup and will add valuable experience to the 21-member squad that is currently missing several key players due to injuries.
Key players returning to the Bati squad include Kevin Naiqama, Maika Sivo, Waqa Blake, Tui Kamikamica, and Viliame Kikau, alongside Premiership winner Sunia Turuva. The Fiji Bati will kick off their campaign against the Papua New Guinea Kumuls next week, with the match scheduled for Saturday, October 19th, at HFC Bank Stadium, beginning at 8:10 PM.
