Veteran Michael Jennings of the Sydney Roosters is set to join the Vodafone Fiji Bati for the upcoming 2024 Pacific Championship. The 36-year-old center, who represented Tonga in the previous Rugby League World Cup, adds significant experience to the 21-member squad, which is currently missing several key players due to injuries.
Joining Jennings are Kevin Naiqama, Maika Sivo, Waqa Blake, Tui Kamikamica, and Viliame Kikau, all of whom return to the Bati lineup, along with Premiership winner Sunia Turuva. The Bati will kick off their campaign by hosting the Papua New Guinea Kumuls next Saturday, October 19, at the HFC Bank Stadium, with the match scheduled to begin at 8:10 PM.
