The MHCC Complex in Suva recently celebrated an impressive milestone, marking 17 years of operation. This shopping center, the first of its kind in Fiji, has become a staple for locals, offering a wide variety of goods and services all in one location.

Kunaseelan Sabaratnam, director of Carpenters Finance, expressed pride in the complex’s impact on the community. He noted that it provides everything from supermarkets to fashion stores, establishing itself as a true one-stop shop for customers. The complex has not only enriched the shopping experience but has also supported small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the region. Sabaratnam highlighted the importance of accommodating startups, allowing budding entrepreneurs to begin their journeys in a supportive environment.

Looking ahead, the management has exciting plans for the future of the complex. Renovations have already begun, and with the introduction of a new tower, they anticipate increased foot traffic starting in March.

Since its inception in 2007, the MHCC Complex has been dedicated to enhancing the shopping experience while also fostering employment opportunities for Fijians. Celebrating this anniversary is a testament to its resilience and the positive role it plays in the community.

This milestone is not just a celebration of past achievements but serves as an optimistic indicator of ongoing growth and development in the retail landscape of Fiji.
