The MHCC Complex in Suva is proudly celebrating 17 years of operation, marking a significant milestone as the first shopping mall of its kind in Fiji. Kunaseelan Sabaratnam, Director for Carpenters Finance, highlighted its unique status as a one-stop shopping destination where customers can find a diverse range of products and services all under one roof.

During the celebration, Sabaratnam reflected on the complex’s pivotal role in supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) within the country. He emphasized that the mall has been instrumental for budding entrepreneurs, allowing them to start their businesses through small stalls and pushcarts, thus fostering growth and innovation in the retail sector.

Looking ahead, the director shared exciting plans for the future, including ongoing renovations and the introduction of a new tower. He anticipates increased foot traffic in early March, which promises to enhance the shopping experience for customers.

Since its inception in 2007, the MHCC Complex has not only provided comprehensive shopping options but has also created numerous job opportunities for Fijians. The continued success and evolution of the complex underscore its importance to the local economy and community.

This celebration of longevity is a testament to the complex’s adaptability and commitment to meeting the needs of its patrons. With dynamic improvements on the horizon, the MHCC Complex is poised to remain a key player in Fiji’s retail landscape, promising a bright future for shoppers and businesses alike.
