MHCC Complex in Suva proudly celebrated its 17th anniversary today, marking a significant milestone as one of Fiji’s first all-encompassing shopping destinations. Kunaseelan Sabaratnam, the Director of Carpenters Finance, highlighted the complex’s vitality in providing a wide range of services and products under one roof. He emphasized its role as a pioneer shopping mall in the country, offering everything from supermarkets to fashion stores, making it a convenient hub for consumers.
Sabaratnam acknowledged the complex’s beneficial impact on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Fiji, stating that the facility has always supported these businesses by providing them a platform to start and grow. The inclusion of small pushcart vendors demonstrates its commitment to fostering entrepreneurial spirit in the community.
Looking ahead, the Director shared that there are plans for renovations and improvements within the complex. With the addition of a new tower, they anticipate a boost in customer traffic starting in March.
Since its inception in 2007, MHCC has consistently focused on serving its customers and creating job opportunities for Fijians, reinforcing its importance in the local economy.
In summary, MHCC Complex’s anniversary not only celebrates its longevity but also its ongoing contributions to the community—supporting local businesses and employing Fijians. This commitment indicates a positive trajectory for both the complex and the economy, fostering growth and opportunity in the region.
