The MHCC Complex has proudly marked its 17th anniversary in Suva, celebrating a milestone that showcases its enduring presence in Fiji’s retail landscape. Kunaseelan Sabaratnam, the Director for Carpenters Finance, spoke to FijiOne News about the complex, highlighting its unique position as the first shopping mall of its kind in the country, offering a diverse range of services and products all in one location.

Over the years, MHCC has established itself as a vital resource for local businesses, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Sabaratnam emphasized the complex’s commitment to supporting MSMEs by providing flexible options, such as accommodating start-up pushcarts for new entrepreneurs who may not yet have the means to secure a storefront.

Looking ahead, Sabaratnam shared exciting plans for the future, including ongoing renovations and a new tower expected to open in early March. These developments aim to enhance the shopping experience for customers and further solidify MHCC’s reputation as a central hub for retail and community engagement.

Since its inception in 2007, MHCC has not only provided a diverse shopping experience but has also contributed to the local economy by creating employment opportunities for Fijians. With its commitment to inclusivity and innovation, the complex is poised for continued success in the years to come.

This celebration is a testament to the resilience of local enterprises and the importance of supporting small businesses in driving economic growth and fostering community connections. The forward-looking plans for MHCC show promising potential for even more vibrant shopping experiences in the future.
