Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School (MGM) has successfully defended its title in the Girls division at the 2025 Coca-Cola Games, demonstrating remarkable athletic prowess by securing a total of 20 gold medals. This impressive achievement marks a substantial improvement over the previous year, where they had won 14 gold medals, highlighting their ongoing dominance in the competition.
In the final medal standings, MGM topped the charts with a total of 33 medals, which includes 20 gold, 8 silver, and 5 bronze. Adi Cakobau School (ACS) followed in second place with a commendable haul of 6 gold, 9 silver, and 8 bronze medals, while Natabua High School secured third place with 6 gold, 1 silver, and 7 bronze.
MGM’s success at the Coca-Cola Games is further underscored by the recognition of their outstanding athletes. Veniana Ranadi was named the sub-junior female athlete, Sera Nasilivata took home the junior female athlete award, and Gladness Simpson not only clinched titles in the inter and senior categories but was also awarded the Best Overall Female Athlete. Simpson’s victories in multiple events, including the 1500m, 800m, and 4x400m relay, showcased her exceptional speed and endurance.
This achievement is reflective of MGM’s consistent dedication to nurturing young talent and fostering a strong sense of community.
