The Fiji Police M-Paisa Task Force will present two men in the Labasa Magistrates Court today, charged in relation to two separate cases of financial deception.
In the first case, a 24-year-old man is accused of obtaining $957 from the victim’s account on October 10, 2022. The victim realized the transaction had occurred when he saw the money was transferred to an unfamiliar number. The accused allegedly withdrew the money the same day and used it. The victim reported the incident to the Labasa Police Station.
In the second case, a 24-year-old man from Bulileka is accused of dishonestly obtaining $389 from the victim by transferring the amount without the victim’s knowledge. The matter was later reported at the Valelevu Police Station.
