Melania Tora from Miss Tents & Awning PTE Limited has been named the ‘Queen’ for the 2024 Miss Hibiscus Festival. During the crowning ceremony, Tora expressed her commitment to using her platform to benefit the Fijian community.
The 24-year-old expressed gratitude to her family for their support throughout the year and acknowledged her sponsors, Tents & Awnings Limited. She is currently working towards her master’s degree in psychology at the University of the South Pacific.
Tora previously earned her Bachelor of Arts and Psychology with distinction from Deakin University in Victoria, Australia, and also holds a Diploma in Arts and Psychology from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. Her academic accomplishments and enthusiasm for psychology are guiding her toward a career as a clinical psychologist.
In addition, Pepe Malani from Miss Fiji Fashion Week was awarded the second runner-up title, while first runner-up honors went to Martina Sigrah of Miss Island Accommodation.
