Melania Tora of Miss Tents & Awning PTE Limited has been named the ‘Queen’ of the 2024 Miss Hibiscus Festival. During the crowning ceremony held tonight, Tora expressed her commitment to utilizing her platform to benefit the Fijian community.
The 24-year-old expressed gratitude towards her family for their unwavering support throughout the year and also acknowledged her sponsors, Tents & Awnings Limited. Currently, Tora is pursuing a master’s degree in psychology at the University of the South Pacific.
She previously earned a Bachelor of Arts and Psychology with distinction from Deakin University in Victoria, Australia, and holds a Diploma in Arts and Psychology from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. Her academic success and passion for psychology are propelling her towards a career as a clinical psychologist.
In the competition, Pepe Malani from Miss Fiji Fashion Week was awarded the second runner-up title, while the first runner-up title went to Martina Sigrah from Miss Island Accommodation.
