Melania Tora of Miss Tents & Awning PTE Limited has been named the ‘Queen’ of the 2024 Miss Hibiscus Festival. During the crowning ceremony, the 24-year-old expressed her commitment to utilizing her platform to contribute to the Fijian community.
Tora extended her gratitude to her family for their unwavering support throughout the year and also thanked her sponsors, Tents & Awnings Limited. She is currently working towards a master’s degree in psychology at the University of the South Pacific.
In her academic journey, Tora graduated with distinction from Deakin University in Victoria, Australia, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts and Psychology. She also holds a Diploma in Arts and Psychology from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. Her dedication to the field of psychology is steering her towards a career as a clinical psychologist.
In the competition, Pepe Malani, representing Miss Fiji Fashion Week, secured the second runner-up position, while Martina Sigrah from Miss Island Accommodation was named the first runner-up.
