A native of Ba and raised in Rakiraki, Drishant currently lives in Suva, where he balances his burgeoning DJ career with his profession as an IT Auditor specializing in information security and performance audits for government ministries.
Drishant’s passion for music ignited during his high school years as he realized the emotional power of music at events. Influenced by both local icons like DJ Bulletz and international stars such as DJ Snake, he began experimenting with music production and remixing tracks on his own. His first DJ gig was a memorable performance at Penang Sangam High School, sparking a journey that would see him perform at various events, from corporate functions to weddings.
Despite facing financial constraints initially, Drishant’s perseverance allowed him to invest in quality equipment over time, leading to significant milestones in his career. Performing at the Fiji Showcase for an audience of more than 18,000 people marked a pivotal moment for him, challenging norms and showcasing his skills. Graduating with a Postgraduate Diploma in Cyber Security next year, he seeks to merge his IT knowledge with his passion for DJing.
