Marine and island notes: moderate to fresh southeast winds will continue with moderate to rough seas across the waters. Rotuma has a southeasterly flow with a trough just to the north; occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms are likely there today, with moderate to fresh southeasterlies and moderate to rough seas (Min 24°C, Max 32°C), and a similar outlook on Saturday.
Practical points: coastal and marine users should take care given the moderate to rough seas and fresh southeast winds. Communities inland on Viti Levu and Vanua Levu should be prepared for the chance of isolated afternoon or evening thunderstorms.
