Mauger’s Coaching Magic: Transforming the Flying Fijians Ahead of the Big Clash

The coaching approach of Flying Fijians assistant coach Aaron Mauger has significantly benefited the players, according to head coach Mick Byrne in a recent interview.

Byrne highlighted Mauger’s exceptional rugby IQ, stating that players are gaining immense knowledge during their daily training sessions. The former All Blacks second-five eighth has an extensive background, having played 46 Tests and 89 Super Rugby matches for the Crusaders, and previously coaching at the Highlanders and Moana Pasifika.

Byrne characterized Mauger’s coaching style as detailed and teacher-like, emphasizing that the players are absorbing valuable expertise on the field.
