The sixteenth annual National Tooth Brushing Day, supported by Colgate-Palmolive (Fiji) and endorsed by both the Education and Health Ministries, saw a nationwide participation of 175,877 individuals.
The main celebration took place at Rishikul Primary School and was attended by Health & Medical Services Minister Dr. Atonio Rabici Lalabalavu.
Colgate’s ‘Adopt a School’ program had employees engaging with students to emphasize the importance of dental care and good oral hygiene habits.
The ‘Bright Smiles, Bright Futures’ initiative included distributing toothbrushes and toothpaste while teaching children the proper techniques for brushing.
The event concluded with a countdown called the ‘Brush Off,’ followed by refreshments and media interactions, showcasing the community’s dedication to promoting oral health.
