In a recent operation in the Tacilevu farming area of Savusavu, authorities seized over 400 plants suspected to be marijuana. The raid was part of a broader strategy implemented by the Savusavu Operations team to address known cultivation sites, according to Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP) Livai Driu.

ACP Driu highlighted that investigations are ongoing to determine the identity of the farm’s owner. He emphasized that law enforcement efforts are multifaceted, aiming not just to arrest individuals found in possession of illicit drugs, but also to disrupt the overall drug trade, which has been a growing concern across all five policing divisions.

This concerted effort by law enforcement is indicative of a proactive approach to tackling drug-related issues in the community. As authorities continue to press forward with their operations, the hope is that these actions will contribute to a safer environment for residents and deter future cultivation of illegal substances.
