Fijian Drua player Iosefo Masi is being considered as a potential replacement for Semi Radradra at the French Top 14 club, Lyon. Masi, who signed a two-year contract with the Drua in 2022, is set to become a free agent at the end of this year, having not yet extended his contract.
Reports from Midi Olympique indicate that Radradra’s contract is also expiring and is unlikely to be renewed. The report states that the management at Lyon is currently evaluating options, including Masi, who emerged as one of the standout performers in the recent Super Rugby season.
Lyon’s president Yann Roubert previously commented on the situation regarding Radradra, expressing that expectations for the past season were not met. He emphasized that the coming season would provide opportunities for players, including Radradra, to demonstrate their value and commitment to the team.
In a recent match, Radradra was not included in the starting lineup as Lyon suffered a heavy 43-22 defeat to La Rochelle.
