Eintracht Frankfurt’s top scorer, Omar Marmoush, made a significant impact in the Bundesliga match against Bayern Munich on Sunday, scoring twice and securing a 3-3 draw with a dramatic equalizer in stoppage time. Marmoush’s first goal came in the first half, leveling the score at 1-1, and he struck again during added time after a swift counterattack, ensuring Frankfurt snatched a point as Bayern extended their winless streak to three games across all competitions.

Bayern Munich currently leads the Bundesliga with 14 points, on goal difference ahead of RB Leipzig, who won 1-0 at Heidenheim earlier in the day. Eintracht Frankfurt sits in third place with 13 points.

Bayern’s coach, Vincent Kompany, will be relieved to maintain their top position as they head into the international break. However, he faces the challenge of addressing how his team was consistently caught off-guard on the counter, especially given Frankfurt’s decisive equalizer was their best opportunity in the second half.

The match had high stakes, with Bayern eager to recover from their midweek Champions League defeat to Aston Villa and a disappointing draw against Bayer Leverkusen. After a strong start, Bayern took the lead in the 15th minute through defender Kim Min-jae. The team’s early dominance could have yielded more goals, but Marmoush countered with a well-placed shot that equalized just seven minutes later.

Marmoush then assisted Hugo Ekitike in the 35th minute with a perfectly timed pass during another counter-attack. Bayern responded quickly, equalizing through Dayot Upamecano shortly after. The visitors regained the lead through Michael Olise’s excellent strike in the 53rd minute and had opportunities to extend their advantage with substitute Kingsley Coman.

However, Marmoush’s presence proved pivotal once again in stoppage time, as he outmaneuvered the Bayern defense to score the equalizer. The game concluded with Bayern’s Thomas Müller hitting the post with the final kick.
