Sireli Maqala, the Bayonne center and member of the Flying Fijians, is currently at the top of the French Top 14’s try scorers chart. The 2021 Olympic gold medalist has impressively scored nine tries over the course of twelve matches, placing him ahead of Lyon scrum-half Baptiste Couilloud, who has eight tries this season. Notably, Maqala stands out as the only Fijian representative in the top ten scorers list.

As for his team, Bayonne is performing well, holding the fourth position on the league table with a total of 34 points. The standings are competitive, with Bordeaux leading at 41 points, closely followed by Toulouse, also at 41 points but with a lower point difference, and Toulon in third place with 37 points.

With the season still ongoing, fans can look forward to seeing how both Maqala and his team will continue to excel.
