Malolo rugby club is poised to embark on an exciting new chapter as the first challenger for the Farebrother Trophy this season. Newly promoted to the Skipper Cup after a multi-year absence, Malolo will face defending champions Naitasiri on August 2 at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
Jone Tuilawa, the president of Malolo rugby, expressed pride in the progress the club has made over the past five years, reflecting on their journey back to the top tier of competition. “Our first match is crucial, as it sets the stage for our challenge against Naitasiri,” he stated, highlighting the significance of the encounter for the team’s ability to adapt and contend at elite levels.
Malolo will look to leverage their extensive team cohesion, developed over the past three years.
