The Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) has announced a significant five-year sponsorship agreement for the Fiji FACT tournament, marking a major development for this prestigious event in the domestic football calendar. The new sponsor, Janty Kanvan Pte Ltd, has secured naming rights, and the tournament will now officially be called BiC Fiji FACT.
Fiji FA President Rajesh Patel expressed his gratitude to Janty Kanvan for their commitment, stating that this partnership is set to elevate the tournament to new heights. Patel thanked Janty Kanvan’s Managing Director, Mr. Dilen Kumar, and his team for believing in the vision of Fiji FA. He emphasized that this sponsorship is not only an investment in the tournament but also vital for the growth and development of football in Fiji.
Jigar Khatri, the General Manager of Janty Kanvan Pte Ltd, also shared his excitement about the collaboration, highlighting their commitment to supporting sports in Fiji. He expressed anticipation for an exciting tournament in 2025 and beyond, underlining the importance of the Fiji FACT as a key event in the local football scene.
The 2025 BiC Fiji FACT is scheduled to be held at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, with group matches taking place over three days: May 30, 31, and June 1, followed by the semifinals and final on June 7 and 8, respectively.
This sponsorship follows a period of transition for the Fiji FA, which previously lost the support of Digicel earlier in 2023. The move to partner with Janty Kanvan showcases a renewed interest from corporate sponsors in the local football landscape. Previous articles have highlighted Patel’s optimism for exploring new partnerships and the growing interest in supporting Fiji Football, which reflects positively on the organization’s future.
As Fiji FA continues to build a robust framework for its tournaments, the partnership with Janty Kanvan signifies progress and an opportunity for local football to thrive, ultimately benefiting players and fans alike.
