A police raid in the Northern Division has resulted in the seizure of 400 plants believed to be marijuana. Assistant Police Commissioner Livai Driu said the plants were uprooted at Tacilevu outside Savusavu. The owner of the farm is yet to be located as investigations continue.
In another raid at Waisagavuna, two farms were raided, resulting in the seizure of close to 1,700 plants believed to be marijuana. Efforts are in progress to identify the owners of the two farms.
Mr. Driu said the police focus was on supply reduction while operations were focused on reducing white and green drugs in all five policing divisions.
