Authorities have seized over 2,000 plants suspected to be marijuana following two raids in the Malua range of Navosa. Officers from the Western Division Serious Organised Crime Intelligence Department (SOCID) acted on information regarding the cultivation of marijuana in the area.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP) Livai Driu emphasized the importance of this seizure in their ongoing efforts to disrupt the supply chain associated with illegal drug activities. He noted that recent weeks have seen several arrests, with suspects charged and taken to court. ACP Driu praised the public for sharing information that has been crucial in these recent operations, leading to significant discoveries and apprehensions in earlier raids.
During the operations, officers discovered more than 1,800 plants at one farm and over 900 plants at another, with sizes ranging from 10 centimeters to 2.5 meters, all believed to be marijuana.
