Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, reported that multiple plastics containing white substances believed to be methamphetamine were confiscated from a residence in Namara, Labasa, leading to the arrest of three men. Authorities also recovered over $1,000 in cash, suspected to be proceeds from criminal activities.
In the Western Division, specifically in Lautoka, a 26-year-old male was caught with two clear plastics containing white crystals thought to be methamphetamine, along with bullets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
Additionally, four men were detained in Rakiraki town after a discovery of numerous sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana and several plastics containing white crystals that are suspected to be methamphetamine.
Two other men were arrested in separate incidents in Lautoka for having sachets of suspected marijuana.
In Nadi, a 29-year-old man was taken into custody after authorities discovered plants and seedlings believed to be marijuana.
Earlier today, a team of K9 officers conducted a raid in Tavakubu, Lautoka, where they seized white substances suspected to be methamphetamine, resulting in the arrest of a 44-year-old man.
Assistant Commissioner Driu emphasized that the divisional operations are dedicated to targeting potential drug dealers. He urged the public to continue providing information, as every detail can contribute to disrupting the illicit drug trade.
