Police have successfully intercepted a significant shipment of marijuana that was being transported in a bus within the Northern division. The operation was conducted at a roadblock located on Bagasau Road, where officers from the Tukavesi Police Station performed a routine search of the bus’s luggage compartment and discovered a black bag filled with dried leaves suspected to be marijuana.

Additionally, during a separate inspection on Monday night at Sabeto Road, officers seized several branches of what they also believed to be marijuana. Two individuals traveling in the vehicle were arrested in connection to these findings.

This operation highlights the proactive measures law enforcement is taking to combat drug trafficking in the region. The successful interception not only demonstrates the commitment of police forces to safeguard their communities but also serves as a warning to others involved in illegal activities. The ongoing efforts of law enforcement in such operations are crucial for maintaining public safety and health.

Through continued vigilance and community support, police can effectively deter drug-related offenses, contributing to a safer environment for all residents.
