Major Drug Bust in Tacirua: Over 200 Rolls Seized!

A coordinated operation by police officers in Tacirua resulted in the seizure of dried leaves believed to be marijuana. The raid involved personnel from the Southern Division’s Serious and Organised Crime and Intelligence Department, the Fiji Detector Dog Unit, and the Police Dog Unit.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Livai Driu reported that the search of a 57-year-old suspect’s residence revealed over 200 rolls of aluminum foil filled with dried leaves and more than a thousand small branches, all suspected to be marijuana.

ACP Driu emphasized the crucial role of community support in supplying valuable information to law enforcement. He commended the operation’s success as a significant advancement in the battle against drug trafficking and underlined the importance of collaboration between police and the community.
