Seven individuals have been apprehended during a drug raid conducted in Waqadra, Nadi, on Thursday.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, reported that authorities confiscated multiple zip-lock bags containing crystals suspected to be methamphetamine, as well as another bag believed to hold cocaine. Additionally, over $300 in cash, suspected to be proceeds from illegal activities, was also seized during the operation.
ACP Driu further noted that in the past week, there have been several other arrests for the unlawful possession of illicit drugs across various locations, including behind the Labasa market, Tomuka in Lautoka, Dreketi Settlement in Lautoka, Varadoli in Ba, Nasivi Street in Tavua, Nanuku Settlement, and Samabula.
