Major Drug Bust in Nadi: Five Arrested in Organized Crime Raid

A team from the Joint Serious and Organised Crime Unit, based in Suva and the West, conducted a raid in Nadi on Thursday afternoon, resulting in the arrest of five men suspected of involvement in the drug trade.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Crime, Mesake Waqa, reported that several sachets containing a white substance, believed to be methamphetamine, alongside dried leaves thought to be marijuana, were confiscated during the operation.

The seized items have been forwarded for analysis as investigations proceed, and the arrested individuals are currently in custody.

Additionally, multiple arrests were made over the past week involving individuals suspected of selling green and white drugs across the five policing divisions.
