Major Drug Bust in Nadi: Five Arrested in Operation

A team from the Joint Serious and Organised Crime Unit, composed of officers from Suva and the West, conducted a raid in Nadi on Thursday afternoon, resulting in the arrest of five men suspected of being involved in the illegal drug trade.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Crime, Mesake Waqa, reported that several sachets containing a white substance believed to be methamphetamine, as well as dried leaves thought to be marijuana, were confiscated during the operation.

The substances have been sent for analysis as investigations continue, and the arrested individuals have been taken into custody.

In addition, several arrests were made in the past week of individuals believed to be trafficking green and white drugs across the five policing divisions.

The Fiji Police Force values the community’s assistance in providing information that leads to arrests and seizures, and encourages anyone with relevant information to reach out by calling 917 or Crimestoppers at 919.
