A police raid on a residence in Wairuku, Rakiraki, led to the arrest of four men, including a 21-year-old, following the discovery of suspected drugs. The operation, carried out by the Western Division operations team on Tuesday, revealed clear plastic bags containing dried leaves believed to be marijuana, as well as substances thought to be methamphetamine.
Authorities also confiscated mobile phones, syringes, packing materials, and both local and foreign currency suspected to be linked to illegal activities. In addition to the 21-year-old, those arrested included men aged 44, 24, and 18. The seized substances are currently undergoing laboratory analysis as the investigation continues.
