The Minister for iTaukei Affairs, Ifereimi Vasu, has called for the filling of 55 vacant traditional leadership roles in Macuata Province. Speaking at the Macuata Provincial Council meeting held in Sasa Village, Mr. Vasu noted that while 88 percent of traditional titles are currently filled, the remaining 12 percent are unoccupied, which he believes is detrimental to leadership and community progress.
