PROUDS, a renowned family-owned luxury shopping outlet, has made a significant investment of approximately half a million dollars to open a new store in the Damodar City Complex in Labasa.

Reshmi Singh, the general manager of Prouds, mentioned that the outlet has initially employed five staff members, three of whom are locals from Labasa. Singh highlighted the company’s intention to expand its workforce as the business grows, stating, “We’re looking to expand our team with local talent to help us serve the community even better.” There are plans to hire two additional employees, bringing the total to seven.

The decision to establish the Labasa outlet was driven by public demand and took just two months to set up. Sangeeta, the outlet’s first customer, expressed his satisfaction, noting that he would no longer need to travel to Suva for his favorite branded products. “We now have access to a variety of quality products, including jewellery, fragrances, cosmetics, and fashion accessories, all available under one roof,” Sangeeta remarked. He also praised the shop’s layout, comparing it to Prouds’ outlet in Nadi, emphasizing that the Labasa location meets international standards.

Strategically located beside the Lunch Box and the food court at Damodar City in Labasa, this new store is poised to serve the local community effectively and cater to the growing demand for luxury items.

This expansion not only reflects the company’s commitment to local communities but also signifies positive economic growth for the region. It supports job creation while enhancing shopping convenience for residents in Labasa.

In summary, PROUDS’ new outlet in Labasa is a promising addition to the area, offering quality products and services while investing in local talent and catering to customer demands.
