Luxury Fiji Resort to Undergo Stunning Revitalization

Likuliku Lagoon Resort is set to undergo major revitalization projects in 2025. Ahura Resorts, the 100 percent Fijian family-owned management company of the resort, has confirmed that Likuliku will be closed from February 1 to April 30, 2025.

“We are investing FJ$10 million to enhance and elevate the product offerings and guest experiences of Likuliku, the results of which will solidify our existing reputation as one of Fiji’s iconic and renowned luxury resorts,” said resort owner and Ahura Resorts managing director Tony Whitton.

Guests affected by the closure will be offered a full refund or the opportunity to re-book for alternative dates. The extensive revamp will include several key projects:

– A refresh of all bures, including the addition of private plunge pools to 11 beachfront bures, increasing the Deluxe Beachfront Bure category from 18 to 29 bures.
– Completion of the environmentally-friendly synthetic roof thatching project on the remaining beachfront and deluxe beachfront bures on the eastern side of the resort.
– A refurbishment of the signature main pool.
– The addition of a new restaurant concept offering an alternative evening dining experience to the existing signature Fijiana restaurant, taking the overall dining options to three outlets.

Introducing Saluwaki

Named after the itaukei word for a collection of indigenous herbs and spices, Saluwaki’s cuisine will present Pan-Asian dishes, emphasizing local ingredients from the land and sea.

Additionally, the revamped resort will feature the Vanua Conservation Hub, in conjunction with the Ahura Resorts Conservation Foundation. Guests at the Vanua Conservation Hub will embark on a journey of discovery, engaging in a progressive set of activities highlighting key conservation projects underway at the resort.

Ahura Resorts operates two of Fiji’s most popular, award-winning, and iconic resorts: Malolo Island Resort for families, and Likuliku Lagoon Resort, a luxury escape for adults featuring Fiji’s first and only authentic over-water bures.
