Tokasa Nadagalu delivered a powerful message about love overcoming hatred and darkness after being crowned Miss Vodafone Gold ‘N’ Water 2024 at Garvey Park in Tavua last Saturday night. The 19-year-old, who was sponsored by the vanua o Tavualevu, hails from Tavua Village and faced considerable personal challenges, having been raised by relatives after her father left her mother. Tragically, her mother passed away when Nadagalu was just 14 years old.
During her crowning ceremony, she encouraged her peers with the mantra “Never Give Up,” expressing that her achievement was made possible through faith in God. Emphasizing her message, she quoted the late Mother Teresa, saying, “Only love can drive out darkness and hatred.”
Nadagalu took a moment to express gratitude to major sponsor Vodafone Fiji and her community sponsor, Krishna Goundar, for their support.
