Saimone Koroi, a member of the boy group Yanu Boyz, recently stepped into the spotlight for a different reason: he married Jacqueline Koroi in a heartfelt ceremony at Natogadravu Village, Nuku, Tailevu. Surrounded by family and friends, the couple celebrated their union, marking a significant milestone after four years of dating.

Saimone, who comes from Lamiti Village in Gau and has familial ties to Bukuya Village in Magodro, Ba, is known as a self-employed artist. Jacqueline, originally from Lami Village in Rewa with connections to Navasobu Village in Macuata, Vanualevu, works as a support specialist officer. The couple’s wedding embraced traditional iTaukei customs, including the tevutevu and tataunaki rituals, emphasizing their cultural heritage.

The couple first met in 2021 at Jacqueline’s previous workplace. Saimone shared that Jacqueline, who he describes as kind-hearted and supportive, helped him overcome his shyness, making him realize she was the one for him. In her turn, Jacqueline expressed her admiration for Saimone, highlighting his kindness, dependability, and ability to lift her spirits with humor.

Their wedding was not just a personal celebration but also a family affair, incorporating a baptism ceremony for Saimone’s namesake nephew, which they cherished as part of their special day. The couple expressed gratitude to God for guiding them through their preparation and thanked their families and friends for their support.

Looking ahead, Saimone and Jacqueline aspire to build a loving family together. Their journey reflects a commitment to cherish each other in good times and challenging moments, showcasing a hopeful outlook for their life ahead. This union not only celebrates their love but also highlights the importance of family and community, reinforcing strong connections in their lives.
