Olympic silver medalist Ponipate Loganimasi is set to make his full debut with the FIJI Water Flying Fijians as they prepare to face Scotland in their opening match of the Europe Tour this Sunday. Loganimasi, who made a significant impact in Fiji’s recent Pacific Nations Cup victory over Japan by scoring two tries off the bench, will start on the left wing.
Joining the team are also Swire Shipping Fijian Drua players Kemueli Valetini and Waqa Nalaga, who are named in the reserves and could see their first game action. Coach Mick Byrne has assembled a formidable starting lineup, featuring key players such as Haereiti Hetet, Captain Tevita Ikanivere, and Samuela Tawake in the front row. The locks will be held by Isoa Nasilasila and Ratu Leone Rotuisolia, while Ratu Meli Derenalagi and Kitione Salawa take on the roles of blindside and openside flankers, respectively. Elia Canakaivata will serve as the Number 8.

The Flying Fijians will compete against Scotland at Murrayfield, kicking off at 5:40 AM on Sunday.
